Located on busy W. Third St, Satine is a bit off the beaten path of the regular celebrity hot spots, but the location obviously hasn't stopped it from evolving into one of L.A.'s most popular boutiques. Though relatively small and only six years old, this West Hollywood boutique has a dedicated celebrity following and is chock full of designers like Vanessa Bruno, Thakoon, Derek Lam, and even fashion heavyweights such as Balenciaga and Lanvin. Looking for Nicole Richie's top? Mischa's flats? Sienna's shorts? You can find them all at Satine.

                        Maxfield
Maxfield is particularly devoted to avant-garde fashion, which says a lot about its clientele. Mary-Kate Olsen declared that this was her favorite store in L.A.; one of her purchases was a long, one-of-a-kind coat. Maxfield, located on famous Melrose Avenue, stocks clothes and furniture that you will rarely find elsewhere. A little inside scoop you might not have known: the store owner's son is designer James Perse.

                    Fred Segal
Because Fred Segal is designed like a collection of boutiques, each room has its own unique vibe. Step into Ron Herman and you will find colorful C & C tanks for Juicy Couture sweats, but step into the next room and you will find chic dresses by Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney.

Planet Blue
Located in sunny Malibu, this hip boutique attracts many stylish celebrities. While I was shopping here, Nicky Hilton was browsing through the denim selection and left with two shopping bags. Mary-Kate Olsen and Sienna Miller also  frequent the store. Be sure to take advantage of the free parking lot and check out Planet Blue Kids across the street if you have children. Other shops in the area include Madison, James Perse, Ralph Lauren, and Ron Herman.
